Nerja - a city full of life

Nevertheless, Nerja has not lost the charm of a fishing village. Nerja is a small town with extremely beautiful natural scenery, surrounded by mountains and beaches. It can easily be explored by strolling through the narrow winding streets, where you will discover interesting shops, restaurants, bars and small areas shaded by orange trees and pagodas where you can rest and watch the world go by.

The Balcony of Europa, in the 19th Century built for King Alfonso XII, offers a great view of the bay of Nerja and its beaches.
Nerja is an ideal location to explore the old white villages nearby  and the renowned pre-historic Nerja caves.  In July, there is an annual music
and dance festival with stars such as Montserrat Caballé and José Carreras.
This area boasts at having the best all year round climate in Europe, with very pleasant winters.
