Andalucian
Walking Tours

These walking tours are ideal for singles, couples and people wanting to
explore unspoilt scenic beauty in friendly company.
Our local guides will provide outstanding walks with great variety.
rivers, lakes, valleys and white villages. Also
included is a visit to a local market, and there is also an optional
trip to the magnificent Moorish city of Granada with a chance to visit the
exquisite palace and gardens of the Älhambra.
Accommodaton is in
our lovingly restored traditional houses in the charming Spanish village of
Torrox Pueblo.
The holiday and walks reflect the relaxed pace of life in Andalucia;
walks normally last about 5/6 hours per day, including frequent stopps
for rests and refreshments. All of
Walk-Ändalucia walking routes are ‘easy‘ to ‘moderate ‘grade: generally
good quality dirt paths /tracks with the occasional need to make short scrambles
or use stepping stones or fallen branches to cross streams.
Our tours are based in
the delightful Andalucian region of Axarquia, a part of the South of Spain that
is still unspoilt, largely undiscovered and quite breathtakingly beautfitul. In
Spring the countryside is lush and green and covered with a sensation of wild
flowers. In Autumn the land turns a golden brown, the light has perfect clarity
and the climate has a softness and warmth only found in these parts.
The whitewashed villages, with their terraces and arches reflect the
Moorish influence which was so important to this region.
The wildlife and wild flowers, especially in Spring, are a great
feature of our walks.
Gill has been a regular visitor to Torrox for many years and she and her partner, Dave, now live permanently in the village.
Both experienced walkers,
trained in hill safety and first
aid, they have found with
an infectious enthusiasm for the region the very best walking routes
always through beautiful and varied countryside.
